General news quiz designed for form time fun... using Mike Dean's format again. If you like it / use it, please do rate it so that more have access to it. It has a very short shelf life!

This is a PP slide that has a seating plan on - move the tables and chairs so that it emulates your own room then insert your classnames in text boxes.

This is a PDF of training that I put together for NQTs in my LA to give them some specific strategies on how to help manage their time and their workload. There are some 'quick wins' here, as well as some ideas on how to efficiently manage diaries using outlook and how to use meeting minutes to evidence meeting the teaching standards. I have used advice from TES forums in the training too - so I promised I would share it when it was done.

This is a full lesson pp that introduces kagan techniques into English lessons - used as one of the initial lessons to welcome year 7s to our way of teaching.

This is a proposal and a powerpoint used to introduce the concept of a whole school reward day to award the well behaved pupils in the school and to encourage positive behaviour.

This is the primary part of the Tameside Local Authority Transition Unit that has been designed by an outstanding Literacy Lead, Year 6 teacher. She has kindly shared this with all of the primary schools in Tameside and, as an authority, we are now creating a KS3 unit that all of our secondaries will be using to baseline pupils in reading and writing. The theme is Treasure Island and both units will use this as the stimulus. By the end of this unit, pupils will create two pieces of writing and one piece of reading comprehension that will be sent to their secondary school to their English teacher. With Ofsted's driver of making progress explicit, these little fun ways of showing progress from the start to the end of the lesson might be of use. They&'re fun and lighthearted and just another way of engaging with the progress of the individual child.

A generic team rules lesson that helps teachers to extablish their class rules. Good starting point with new classes.

This is a report that monitors a specific pupils behaviour in class over a 6 lesson period - copy sent to parents prior to going on report and then after.

This is a handout that can be stuck into pupils books that remonds them of various thinking skills. Can be used to encourage them to think about what they have done in class in relation to the 5 skills.

This is a full lesson PP that uses classbuilding activities and introduces a website called Class Dojo that is a behaviour tracking system - free to all teachers after you have registered. The hyperlinks are on the internet screens included. You'll have to adapt it and set up your class but it&'s a brilliant tool!

Every year I manage one or both of these and trying to find ideas / delegate tasks is an enormous task. Therefore, I've shared these instruction pages and posters that I use in order to help others to generate ideas and delegate the tasks. Hope they&'re useful.

This is a whole school quiz with Italy as a theme and it crosses every subject.

This APP Pupil speak Writing self evaluation sheet is used to mark pupils work - they fill it in and so does the teacher - designed to encourage participation in improving grades as an AFL tool.

Basically, this is a powerpoint with 65 different slides on that can all be used to cut and paste into any lesson to provide a series of plenaries so that they are different all of the time.

It's National Immunisation day on the 10th of November. So, here, I&'ve put together some information on Jenner and then added a whole class quiz for the whole form to take part in. I&';m going to start doing these for form time on all special days so look out for them.
